More than a product line, Pennsylvania Scale is a way of life!
Enjoy these pictures as much as we enjoy sharing them; they proudly represent a highly focused brand and way of doing business, building products, and competing every day...

All 30+ Years of Service employees with experience and dedication to make our products the best in the world!
1.)  No one trims the corners on floor scales better than Richard Kieffer!  You can be sure they are right before they ship.  It takes a tough man to make an accurate floor scale (apologies to Frank Perdue!)
2.)  Tom Judith (L) and Ed Styer (R) assembling 7000 Series Indicators and Bench Scales
3.)  Kathy Hamilton, Customer Service and Inside Sales
4.)  Couple of antiques:  Sonny Sensenig, Shipping Manager on our (now retired) Allis Chalmers forklift.

(left) The original building still stands on Lancaster Avenue, Lancaster, PA-- note the faded painted sign: "National Store Specialty Co."  Founded in 1908, we moved to Leola, PA in 1911.

Larger floor scales are manufactured at Emery Winslow's huge plant in Terre Haute, IN
where they also make truck and railroad track scales using Emery's 'Hydrostatic' sensors.

Check out the amazing workmanship that went into these early (circa 1911) fan-type scales made by Pennsylvania Scale in the early days!  It was common at the time to custom make products under other manufacturers' names-- for example Jacobs Brothers Scales.  The beautiful blue unit at bottom was a premium for the 'Walla-Walla Gum Company' and provided to retail penny candy stores to promote the sale of candy.

There is a growing interest in antique scales and memorabilia, example: the International Scale Society.  Photos provided by Mr. Marty Miller, a collector.
